Keeper training IS a difficult thing to find,.. I spent the past two or three years in search, much like many of you!
I found Dan Gaspar's Stars Goalkeeping Academy,.. they held a camp this summer in TO and at Brock in St.Catharines. They also hold camps all over the US as well. My daughter has also been training with a local keeper coach that we sought out, ourselves. She's been with him for 2 years now, and she has graduated from being a decent house league keeper to one of the top 5 or so in her age group in the province. Just keep at it,. the hardest thing is, finding that special person, that knows how to drive your child without turning them off! They need to read your child, to know what pushes and motivates them,. not an easy task. But those people ARE out there,...try all the local clubs too, as they will often run clinics and mini-camps and sometimes,..just sometimes,.. you may find your diamond in the rough! We did,.. and I will be forever grateful for whatever forces drew us to that particular camp, and allowed us the opportunity to meet the man who will have forever shaped my daughters future in soccer.
